Get Started. To help students get the most out of college, succeed in their academics, and expand their horizons, Texas State Housing Policy requires all first-year students to live in on-campus housing.

Log in to the Housing Portal by using the Texas State University Login button at the bottom of the page.

Students will self-select a date and time to move-in to their hall in the housing portal. This option will open following housing assignment in end of May and is based on availability.

CatsWeb is the online portal for students of Texas State University. It provides access to enrollment, financial aid, billing, academic records, campus information, and other services.

Living On-Campus. It is the mission of the Department of Housing and Residential Life to provide welcoming living communities that foster academic success, campus engagement, and personal development.

The Housing Policy. New freshmen under the age of 20 (by September 1 for fall admission or January 1 for spring admission) with fewer than 30 credit hours are required to live in on-campus university housing.
